Jakub Szczęsny

 

Architect, designer of the skinniest house in the world (Keret House, in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York), numerous installations in public spaces, and the Simple House and FreeDOM series of prefabricated houses. He studied architecture in Warsaw, Paris and Barcelona, and worked in the advertising industry and in the design group Centrala. Since 2016 he has led his own studio in Warsaw, SZCZ. He teaches at the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology and the School of Form. He leads popular programmes on architecture and interior design on television. He publishes columns in Dobre Wnętrze, Autoportret, Architektura i Biznes, and Salon, the Polityka supplement on architecture and interiors.
